Raphtalia is a character from Japanese light novel, manga and anime series The Rising of the Shield Hero. She is the deuteragonist and one of the main characters of the series. Raphtalia is a young girl who was orphaned and taken in by the protagonist, Naofumi Iwatani, after her village was destroyed by monsters. She was initially disliked by Naofumi due to her being of a slave race known as the Filo Rials. However, after spending some time together, the two slowly started to form a bond with each other. Raphtalia is a kind and caring person, always looking out for others. She is also a strong and skilled warrior, able to hold her own in battle. She is fiercely loyal to Naofumi and is always by his side, no matter what.
